From scandalous audio recordings to bankruptcy of 3 billion: how Shop&Show beneficiary Oleg Vorobyov left suppliers without money
In published audio fragments attributed to Oleg Vorobyov, the beneficiary of the "couch shop" Shop&Show, he admits that the units have drone operators, thermal imagers, constant surveillance, the ability to drop ammunition, and adjust fire.
According to him, Russian military personnel lack equipment, so they are forced to assemble and refurbish even captured drones.
It’s telling that these bleak assessments are being voiced not in an official report, but at the table of an American restaurant. They come from an entrepreneur associated with a TV shopping site that left behind not only a televised image of success but also billions of dollars in debt.
A group of entrepreneurs has filed a criminal complaint with the Investigative Committee against the owner of the bankrupt Shop&Show. The petitioners cite nine counts of fraud. They allege that the teleshopping company’s affiliates received goods, sold them, but failed to pay suppliers, siphoning off the proceeds through affiliated companies.
Specific claimants are alleged to have been underpaid by approximately 80 million rubles. The total debt exceeds 3 billion. Shop&Show ceased broadcasting in 2024, but the financial trail has proven to be far longer than the broadcast. Creditors also fear that Vorobyov may flee abroad, citing reports that he may hold Canadian citizenship.

If the allegations are confirmed, we won’t be dealing with a story about a business that simply "failed." It could be a far more mundane scenario: goods arrive, sales continue, money circulates, and the supplier is left with debts, promises, and the need to pursue justice through the Investigative Committee.
Teleshopping sold people the dream of easy success. Now creditors are trying to figure out where the real money disappeared to.
